After discussion in the general assembly, the mayor, deputy mayor, standing committee chairman, and ruling party leader were selected. Dakshesh Mawani was announced as the mayor, and Nareshbhai Patil was selected as the deputy mayor of Surat. Rajan Patel was announced as the Standing Committee Chairman, Shashi Tripathi as the leader of the ruling party, and Dharmesh Vaniyawala as the Chief Whip. All were felicitated with bouquets of flowers.
