Under the 'Make in India' initiative, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is gearing up to manufacture components, including missiles like Tejas, Brahmos, and Agni, in Gujarat. DRDO Chairman, Dr. M. Patri, shared this information at a science fair in Green Valley High School. He emphasized the significance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in the country's defense strategy, citing the recent successful test flight in Chitradurga, Karnataka, as a milestone. The future, according to him, lies in the development and deployment of UAVs, which can deliver maximum impact without risking human lives.
