159th Year of Shravaniya Sangh in Ambaji Temple
Ambaji, one of the revered Adyashakti Peeths among the 51 Shaktipeeths, is preparing for the upcoming ‘Bhadravi Mahakumbh’ festival. On the last day of the holy month of Shravan (Amavasya), a multitude of devotees thronged the Ambaji temple to seek blessings from the goddess. This annual tradition, known as the ‘Shravaniya Sangh’ or ‘Kankodia Sangh’, involves devotees embarking on a 159-year-old foot pilgrimage from Nadiad to Ambaji, where they offer Annakoot as an act of devotion.
