Surat's PCB Police successfully apprehended a long-time fugitive wanted for a murder committed in 2003 at Udhna police station. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested Mohammad Ansari in Jharkhand's Wasseypur. In 2003, Ansari and his accomplice Mehraj Ali Rahmani brutally murdered Dayashankar Gupta after a dispute, burned the body, and fled. Mehraj Ali Rahmani has since passed away, and now, after 21 years, the police have taken legal action against Mohammad Ansari.
