Residents of Block No. 395 in Surat's Punagam area staged a protest against an organizer who had collected money for plots but failed to allocate them for 18 years. In 2004-05, open plots of various sizes were sold in O.P. 53, F.P. 38, T.P. 20. Buyers, who invested their savings and sold jewelry to make payments, have grown frustrated with the organizer's continuous delays and have taken to the path of agitation after numerous failed attempts to resolve the issue through petitions and complaints.
