Jagdish Nagar society in the Varachha area of Surat is grappling with a cholera outbreak, with 30 reported cases attributed to contaminated water from drainage lines seeping into boreholes. In response, the municipality initiated a cleanliness drive in the society, employing DDT powder to curb the spread. A mobile medical team was dispatched to conduct examinations and provide necessary medication to the affected patients. Despite these efforts over the past eight days, locals express growing frustration and anger towards the system for the escalating cholera cases in their community.
