Over 200 farmers from affected villages gathered at the Surat Collectorate to voice their protest against the proposed acquisition of the Gothan-Hajira special railway route. Expressing discontent with repeated land surveys by officials for the railway acquisition, the farmers submitted a petition to the collector, urging the authorities to consider an alternative location for the railway development. In the event of non-compliance, they threatened to escalate their protest.
