Ahmedabad's vibrant Uttarayan festival, known for its lively kite-flying activities, is witnessing a surge in kite prices this year. Traders report that the cost of a bundle of 20 standard paper kites now ranges from Rs. 120 to Rs. 140, compared to last year's prices of Rs. 80 to Rs. 100. Despite the increased expenses, popular kite markets in areas like Delhi Darwaza, Raipur Darwaza, Kalupur, Jamalpur, Bapunagar, Daryapur, and Nikol are bustling with enthusiastic buyers gearing up for the festive celebration.
