Amid the festive fervour of Uttarayan, bootlegging activities have surged in Vadodara, with a noticeable spike in the smuggling of foreign liquor. Once again, Vadodara police have been criticized for apparent oversight, as the State Monitoring Cell (SMC) team uncovered a stash of foreign liquor concealed in a godown in Ranoli GIDC, right under the nose of Jawahar Nagar police. The SMC team detained four individuals along with approximately 800 bottles of liquor during the operation.
