The Gondal market yard experienced a significant surge in revenue as a staggering 85,000 (units) of chilies inundated the yard. The market was abuzz with activity, witnessing queues of 1700 to 1800 vehicles loaded with chilies spanning 10 to 15 km outside the yard. Some farmers even arrived with bullock carts to sell their chili produce. During the auctions, the price of 20 kg of chilies fluctuated between Rs 1000/- to Rs 3300/-, showcasing the robust demand and trading activity in the chili market.
