Heavy Rainfall Deluges Ahmedabad, Causing Five Inches of Precipitation in a Day
Ahmedabad was paralyzed as heavy rain pounded the city, with five inches of rainfall in just one day. The downpour began late last night after the Meteorological Department predicted heavy to very heavy rain. From 3 am to 6 am, various parts of the city received approximately half an inch of rainfall. Continuous rain persisted in several areas throughout the morning, resulting in an average of five inches of rain in a single day. The eastern region of Odhav recorded the highest rainfall at 6.5 inches.
