BJP's former Rashtriya Mahila Morcha vice-president, Jyothiben Pandya, expressed dissatisfaction at a press conference over the party's choice of candidate for the Vadodara seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Pandya, who has served the party faithfully for three decades alongside her family, highlighted the perceived disconnect between the candidate and the city's preferences. She criticized the party for nominating the same individual thrice, calling it a significant oversight. Pandya emphasized her own eligibility for candidature and pointed out that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state president CR Patil have also faced criticism regarding Vadodara's development. She lamented that despite her contributions, both as a party member and as a former mayor, her aspirations have been disregarded in both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Pandya noted that she is not alone in her grievances, with many others within the party sharing similar experiences.
