Acting on a tip-off, Surat Crime Branch dismantled an inter-state oil theft syndicate. The perpetrators punctured oil company pipelines in low-traffic zones, siphoning off oil into tankers. Prashant Vaghela and Sameer Khan have reportedly pilfered oil worth 20 crores by tapping into IOC lines across Rajasthan and North Gujarat.
