Amid Controversy, Ganpati Statues in Police Uniform Removed in Surat

The placement of statues depicting Ganpati idols in police attire by the Godadara Police in Surat stirred controversy. Following recommendations from the Ganesha Utsav Committee, the police reoutfitted Ganpati idols in plain attire. Similarly, Ganpati idols, initially placed in police uniform by the Cyber Crime police, was also subsequently adorned in different attire.
