A joint operation by Surat Crime Branch, PCB, RTO, GST, and Narcotics Department in the Uttran police station area uncovered a significant cache of liquor. The raid targeted various locations, including a large wooden house owned by Champa Patel. In house number 23 of Mota Varachha Khari Paliya, where Champa Patel was conducting a liquor business, authorities seized 1,728 bottles of liquor valued at Rs. 1,98,600, hidden underground. Champa Patel, along with her son Pankaj Mangilal Patel and another individual named Vinod, were implicated in the illegal liquor trade. While Champa Patel has been apprehended, her son and Vinod remain at large, prompting an ongoing investigation by the police.
