In Varnama, the local police received intelligence regarding the transit of a vehicle carrying Indian-made foreign liquor from Bharuch to Vadodara along National Highway No. 48. Acting on this tip-off, authorities stationed a surveillance team near Etola Chowk. Subsequently, they intercepted the identified vehicle, uncovering 526 tins of beer valued at over Rs 52,000, along with several mobile phones. The total worth of seized goods amounted to 4.52 lakhs. However, the driver managed to evade capture by fleeing the scene.
