In Surat's Puna village, women from Ami Park Society took to the streets, banging utensils and raising slogans in protest against the construction of a road between the lanes of their society. Accusing the local AAP corporator of corruption, they questioned the sudden approval of the road and threatened a voting boycott. Despite representations made at higher levels, the lack of response prompted them to resort to protest.
