The Election Commission's Static Surveillance Team intercepted and confiscated ₹13,50,000 cash at the Tarsali check post in Vadodara as part of efforts to curb illicit activities before the Lok Sabha elections. The suspected cash, securely sealed in a money box, was handed over to the Makarpura post office for safekeeping. The Makarpura Police have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter to ascertain its origins and intended use.
