The residence of Surat Lok Sabha seat Congress candidate Nilesh Kumarani has come under the scrutiny of the Crime Branch after his nomination form faced controversy regarding the authenticity of his signature. Nilesh Kumarani's house, which remained closed for three days, was opened by his wife, who promptly shut the door upon seeing media personnel. Nilesh Kumarani, purportedly headed to Ahmedabad, is currently untraceable, with no communication with Congress leaders. The Sarthana police and Crime Branch are stationed outside his residence for monitoring.
