Hindu leader Upadesh Rana is once again facing death threats in Surat, including ominous messages like "Teri Gardan Uttar Ke Le Jayenge" sent via mobile phones. These threats, originating from sources beyond Pakistan, have surfaced on WhatsApp. Rana, who operates an NGO called Sanatan Sangh, has previously faced threats and violence, notably when a colleague, Kamlesh Tiwari, was assassinated in 2019 for his comments on religious figures. Rana himself was targeted in connection to the assassination of Kishan Bharwad in 2020. The Surat Police have apprehended a cleric linked to the threats against Rana.
