Today, in commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, the VMC paid tribute to his statue at Gandhi Nagar Gruh. During this event, politicians from both the ruling party and the opposition offered floral tributes. However, during the tribute, the glasses slipped off of the statue, following which, Rutvij Joshi in particular, stated that politicians only appreciate Gandhi on currency notes and not necessarily his ideologies.
