The Pharmacy Act has been made stricter now:
In a bid to track down the Pharmacy mafia, the government has amended the Pharmacy Act and made it more stringent, in the Jan Vishwas Bill. Those who violate the Act now, will face strict actions, as a fine of 1 lakh will be imposed against those who misuse their Pharmacy certificates. Previously, the penalty was ₹1,000 and a 6-month sentence.
