Alpesh Kakdia, a diamond merchant from Surat, was taken hostage by a gang in Nepal to get cheap diamonds, and they extorted money from him. The Nepali gang called Alpesh's relatives through WhatsApp and extorted 6,25,000 rupees online from them. Meanwhile, after a complaint about this, the police arrested an accused in the Nepali Gang from Nepal. The crime branch police have conducted further investigation into the accused.
