Health Department conducts inspections of Diwali sweets and snacks.
In preparation for Diwali, the Food Department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has conducted inspections across seven zones in the city, with different teams performing quality checks. Over 40 samples of sweets, snacks, and savory items were collected. Furthermore, any expired items were disposed of on the spot. Notably, concerns about public health prompted the Health Department to inspect the snacks for adulteration, uncovering irregularities that have raised alarm among other traders.
