The Surat Municipality has initiated a thoughtful project aimed at accepting and respecting old religious photographs. This initiative is the result of a decision made by the Municipal Corporation, aligned with the spirit of Diwali cleaning. Notably, during the post-cleaning process, many individuals often dispose of religious images in rivers or near trees. The Municipality has designated specific hours for the acceptance of these photos, which are from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:20 p.m.
