The city of Surat, known for its smart city initiatives, recently inaugurated the Chikuwadi Bridge, connecting areas without proper bridges. State Rail Minister and Member of Parliament Darshana Jardosh inaugurated the bridge in Varachha. Due to the improper measures taken in the construction of the bridge, S.T. buses have no option but to reverse and take an alternate route.
