Approximately 1 lakh street vendors in Surat are distressed due to the removal of trucks from zero-pressure routes in the city. In response to this action by the municipality, the street vendors, as per the Supreme Court Act of 2014, presented their concerns to the mayor and municipal commissioner on Monday. They emphasized the need for alternative arrangements before enforcing such measures. Shabbir Chawala warned of organizing a massive rally if a satisfactory solution is not provided within 7 days.
