Farmers Can Apply for Crop Protection Aid from December 12 through i-Khedoot Portal

Starting December 12, farmers can apply for the crop protection aid scheme on the i-Khedoot portal. The state government has allocated 350 crores for this scheme to safeguard crops from animals like Bhund, Nilgai, etc., causing damage to farmers' standing crops across the state, including Surat. The aid scheme involves creating wire fencing around farms for protection, and applications will be accepted through the I-Khedut portal. Farmers in five districts, including Surat in South Gujarat, can submit applications starting December 12. Renowned farmer leader Jayesh Patel shared his views on the state government's initiative for special relief.
