Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Mahipat Singh Barad of Ellisbridge Police Station was apprehended accepting a bribe of 25 thousand rupees. The case originated from a complaint filed by a resident of Ambawadi, alleging a financial dispute with his partner. Barad, assigned to investigate, initially demanded 20 percent of the settlement but later settled on an amount of 25 thousand. Acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) set a trap near Sarkhej Ujala Circle, resulting in the ASI's arrest.
