Within a span of 10 days, the water level in Ukai Dam has surged by 15 feet, with an inflow of 1000 MCM water at the start of the season. This increase ensures irrigation water availability for 3.1 lakh hectares of land and serves as a vital drinking water source for 80 lakh people, including Surat. The current water level is nearing 325 feet, approaching the rule level of 333 feet.
