The Surat District Panchayat Bhavan, constructed at a cost of Rs. 47.40 crore, was inaugurated in Piplod, Vesu. The five-story Panchayat Bhavan was unveiled by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat State President CR Patil, and other political leaders, activists, and invitees. Notably, an eco-friendly rainwater harvesting facility and a solar rooftop have been incorporated into the new building, giving the Panchayat Bhavan a distinctive corporate appearance compared to other government structures.
