Dr. Hitendra Patel, the Chairman of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation Standing Committee, is currently in office, but his tenure will eventually come to an end, making way for a new chairman. Under Dr. Hitendra Patel's leadership, a significant initiative was undertaken to build a 4 km long cycle track on Ajwa Road, with a budget of 1.70 crore rupees. However, the track's fate has taken an unexpected turn due to what appears to be either systemic indifference or a lenient policy approach by Chairman Dr. Hitendra Patel. Regrettably, the once-intended cycle track has now transformed into a parking area. The local residents, who are in need of proper cycling facilities, express their ‘gratitude’ to Dr. Hitendra Patel, although it comes in the form of a bicycle track that has inadvertently turned into a parking lot.
