In the holy month of Shravan, Mahadev is worshipped. A 'ghee kamal' was made in Shiva temples to offer Mahadev. This 'ghee kamal' is offered in Shiva temples during Shravan month. To make 'ghee kamal', melted ghee is poured into a pan, cooled with ice, and then painted with oil paint.
