During a recent general meeting held at the Vadodara Municipal Corporation hall, Chandrakant Srivastava, former opposition leader, and senior councilor raised serious concerns about potential irregularities in the deduction of land percentages, ranging from one to ten percent, within the Sama, Dumad, Vemali Town Planning (TP) scheme. He claimed that in certain instances, only a fraction of the land was being deducted from the extensive tracts available, potentially resulting in a scandal involving crores of rupees. TP schemes were originally designed to provide citizens with amenities such as parks, gardens, roads, and open plots. Still, allegations suggest that improper deductions have led to significant financial improprieties within this program.
