In a case of corruption, a school clerk and peon at Uma Shiksha Tirtha School in Naroda demanded a bribe of Rs. 12,000 from a Class 12 Science student who had received a government scholarship of Rs. 32,300. The student's father reported the incident to the ACB, leading to the arrest of the clerk and peon caught red-handed on the school campus. The ACB has initiated legal proceedings against both individuals.
