Tragedy struck yesterday at Nandesari's Sood Chemical Company when a contract worker, Anand resident Sharif Khan Rathore, lost his life while assisting in lifting a PVC tank with a hydraulic crane. Rathore, standing on the crane, fell and was fatally crushed by the crane's wheels. The Nandesari police have taken necessary actions to register a criminal case in connection with the incident.
