An important decision has been taken by the Home Department of the Government of Gujarat to increase the salary of jail inmates in the state jails after 6–6 years. Under which, the daily wages of the prisoners in the Rajkot Central Jail will be increased by 60 to 70 percent to 110 against 70, 140 against 80, and 170 instead of 100.
