The Gondal marketing yard rose from the chilli fields with its daily array of income streams. Yesterday marked the peak of the season for Gondal's renowned ‘Lal Chatak Mirchi’, with auction prices ranging from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 4700 for 20 kg. Due to this bumper yield, approximately 1400 vehicles queued up, carrying eager farmers whose chili income was temporarily halted until further announcements were made by the yard authorities.
