An investigation into door-to-door waste collection vehicles in Ahmedabad has revealed irregularities, leading to a penalty of Rs. 1 crore imposed by the Municipal Commissioner on 10 agencies. Drivers associated with these agencies were found operating without proper uniform and licenses. Following the directives of Municipal Commissioner M. Thennarsan, the Vigilance Department conducted thorough checks on waste agency vehicles during door-to-door inspections.
