Vadodara Airport is expanding its security hold area to accommodate the growing passenger influx from international flights. The Airport Authority of India's Delhi headquarters advised capacity increases. The current security hold area holds 1350 passengers during peak hours, prompting the extension of the viewing gallery and the addition of a floor facility. Separate areas for international and domestic passengers will be established. The estimated cost for the project, set to begin in February and last a year, exceeds 10 crores. Plans include opening a chocolate store in the security hall and floating a tender for a tea stall in the city area. The visitors' facility may close for security reasons, affecting passenger and relative access.
