In an effort to streamline the payment process and curb electricity theft, MGVCL plans to deploy 32 lakh smart electricity meters. The initiation of the 25 thousand prepaid meter project is scheduled for January in Vadodara. Additionally, 15 lakh meters will be installed across the power sub-divisions of Panchmahal, Dahod, and Chotaudepur, extending the modernization initiative beyond Vadodara.
