In a proactive measure under the trigger campaign, the municipal corporation's tax department is taking sealing action to collect property taxes across all wards. On Friday, the Shahpur Secondary School in Shahpur Ward, Madhya Zone, faced closure due to unpaid property taxes amounting to Rs. 8.99 lakhs. The tax department sealed the school building, causing disruption to the education of students up to class-10 who had to return without attending classes.
