The Directorate of Civil Aviation has imposed a fine of Rs 1.20 crore on IndiGo Airlines following reports of passengers venting their frustration by eating on the Mumbai airport runway after a 12-hour flight delay. Additionally, Mumbai airport itself has been fined Rs 60 lakhs. Furthermore, Air India and SpiceJet each face a fine of Rs 30 lakhs for deficiencies in air services.
