In Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), saffron name plates have now been introduced for office bearers, including the mayor. When asked about this addition, the mayor explained that saffron symbolizes valour, aligning with their party's colour, Bharatiya Janata Party, which is also saffron. However, the debate over changing the colour of the name plates remains unresolved.
