The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) successfully set a trap and apprehended an individual red-handed while accepting a bribe. The incident occurred in the village of Bhandut, Olpad taluka, where the complainant owned land that was withheld from sale. Hitendrakumar Parmar, the Talati Commantri of Bhandut Gram Panchayat, initially demanded a bribe of Rs. 11,000 for transferring the property's name in the tax bill. Subsequently, he demanded an additional bribe of Rs. 4,000, and was caught in the act while accepting the latter amount at the end of the week.
