The widely successful Indian payment system, UPI, has extended its global footprint, recently launching in Mauritius and Sri Lanka. With a presence in over 10 countries, UPI aims to reduce forex charges, making international transactions more cost-effective. The Indian government is reportedly exploring further expansions, including countries like Britain, Nepal, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Australia, America, Bahrain, Japan, and the Philippines.
