Delays in Municipal Inspections Lead to Raids: Test Results Awaited After Two Weeks
In preparation for Ganeshotsav and upcoming festivals, the municipal health department conducted inspections at various sweet and farsan shops across the city. Approximately 120 samples were collected for testing, with results expected in a week. During these inspections, 127 kilograms of inedible and adulterated food were seized, resulting in actions such as license suspensions against offending traders. However, concerns have been raised regarding delays in inspections and potential consequences if consumers are harmed by substandard products.
