Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel has allocated Rs. 3842 crore for rural road development in Gujarat. This includes resurfacing 7453.21 km of internal roads across all district panchayats at a cost of Rs. 3120.79 crore. Additionally, 206 roads linking suburbs with populations of 250 to 500 will be resurfaced, covering a distance of 394.27 km. Efforts will also be made to connect villages previously isolated during the monsoon season, while roads in tribal areas will be upgraded and reinforced.
