A clerk and a security guard were caught by the ACB while accepting a bribe of Rs 1200 for adding a name to the tax bill at the City Civic Center in Ranip. A resident of Ranip had bought a house for his son. However, since the name of the old owner of the house was on the tax bill, he contacted to get the name changed. Pravinbhai Thakor, who works as a clerk at the Ranip Civic Center, had demanded Rs 1200 to do the work of adding the name to the bill.
