The redevelopment work of Sabarmati railway station is going on in full swing at a cost of 301 crores. This work will be completed by August 2025. With the completion of 7 platforms towards Sabarmati Dharamnagar and 3 platforms towards Jail Road, the number of trains will be doubled. The design of the station will incorporate the image of Mahatma Gandhi and objects associated with him as a symbolic memorial.
